About.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Taylor moved to New York to attend Parsons the New School for Design in 2010. After graduating in 2014 with a BFA in Fashion Design, she co-founded a womenswear line called SCAPES with her creative partner Andie Enomoto. After nearly a decade in NYC, she returned to Pittsburgh to explore new mediums and industries. Currently, she resides in a home that she spent 6 months designing and renovating in Lawrenceville, a small neighborhood right outside of the city of Pittsburgh.  She is working on building an interior design portfolio ( her own home was as her first test project) to supplement her career in real estate.

Originally this practice started as a way to re-connect with friends post-graduation, but has now organically grown into a way to connect with people from all over the world. She tattoos out of a by-appointment-only studio in Bloomfield, a neighborhood adjacent to Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh, PA. Her studio space also houses other projects where she is reconnecting and experimenting with new and old mediums such as pattern making, sewing, painting, drawing and working with fibers/textiles.

Success follows happiness.

The Practice.

Safety.

Only new, single-use, sterilized materials sourced from a reputable tattoo supplier are used within this practice. Each single needle is individually wrapped and no materials are ever reused. I take every precaution to make sure the space and the area being tattooed stay clean.

Environment.

TKBK is set in my by-appointment-only studio located in Bloomfield. The space is located in an old building that was recently converted to an artist-only studio space. Coffee, water, bathrooms, etc. are all available within the space for your convenience.

Comfort.

My goal is to create a safe space that is drenched in natural light and good energy. My practice is centered around creating a sense of comfort, so expect to be surrounded by a bunch of plants, pillows, blankets and listening to a playlist of soothing tunes.

Process.

One-off hand poke tattoos created in Pittsburgh, PA.

Every tattoo is created with a series of dots, carefully placed one by one into the skin. Fine, single-needle lines and stippled shading morph into open space, leaving little separation between ink and wearer. Each design is only brought to life a single time, preserving the experience created during the original session.

An exploration of the body and time in an attempt to reimagine how moments are recorded. Creating tattoos together that follow and flow with your natural movements, instead of intersect them. An adornment among freckles, a bit of decoration for your most visible layer.

Let's mark a moment.
